Rebuild Lakeshore

We have had literally thousands and thousands of people come to Lakeshore in the last three years. God has blessed us richly with more great friends than we can possibly count. Dozens of you seem to have been truly infected with Lakeshore. You joyfully return to the gulf coast over and over again. When not here, you constantly think about, keep up with, plan in behalf of, pray for, solicit donations, and promote the work for the glory of God. I can not blog about every one. If I tried, I know I would leave too many out, but let me introduce you to a dear couple with us this week; Jerry and Ruth Hoogerheide. Not only have they made numerous trips to Lakeshore from Merritt Island, they personally donated the piano in our sanctuary that Mrs. Ruth beautifully plays while here. They also have raised funds for the ongoing efforts, and worked hard to solicit contributions. This week the distribution center has been bursting at the seems with stuff they collected and sent our way. I can’t thank the Hoogerheides, and the rest of you, enough for your dedication and service.

Last week a great crew from Carlisle PA framed the Calhoun House. They live-blogged the trip at their Carlisle to Lakeshore web site. Check it out. This week a team from Georgia picked up where they left off and has been putting on the roof. We hope to have the house dried in before the end of the week.
